The way we use the PRIORITY WAITING LIST and assign priorities is as follows:

  1. When we have a positive ultrasound on a Dam that she is pregnant, we will notify everyone on the PRIORITY WAITING LIST by phone to ascertain if they are still interested.
  2. If you are still interested, we will email you Information Sheets on the Dam and Sire.
  3. When the puppies are born, we will know the sex of the puppies in the litter. However, we may not know the color of the puppies as all Mastiff Puppies are born with fine black hair which they keep for life as their final coat color will grow through the black hair. Sometimes it takes 6-14 weeks to ascertain if the puppy’s coat is a dark Fawn or a light Apricot. Brindle puppies have their skin pigmented in black and light stripes exactly as the brindle alternating coat colors will grow – therefore, we know at birth if the puppy is a Brindle. Brindle puppies can have their light stipes as Fawn or Apricot.
  4. Usually 2 weeks after the puppies are born, we will contact you by phone asking if you are still interested. If you are still interested, we will:
    1. Schedule a 3-hour visit when the puppies are 6-weeks old after they have had their first set of vaccinations; and
    2. Email you Litter Information, directions, and a DEPOSIT AGREEMENT form to be completed and mailed back to us (within 7 days) along with a $100 deposit (fully refundable until the puppies are 9 weeks old) to Johnson Farms, P.O. Box 125, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
  5. Your PRIORITY pick of your puppy will be based on the information contained on your WAITING LIST information (date, sex, color, “pick-of-the-litter” or non-“pick-of-the-litter”). For example, there are 3 brindle males in the litter, and 3 people on the WAITING LIST identified wanting a brindle male puppy, and all submitted a DEPOSIT AGREEMENT;
    1. The first pick of the 3 brindle puppies will, be given to::
      • The individual who requested pick of the litter with the earliest date when they submitted their WAITING LIST information,
      • THEN to the individual who acquired a puppy from us in an earlier litter;
    2. NEXT pick of the 3 brindle puppies will be given to the non-“pick-of-the-litter” individual with the earliest date when they submitted their WAITING LIST information; and
    3. The LAST pick of the 3 brindle puppies will, be given to the individual with the latest date when they submitted their WAITING LIST information.
  6. Should you not submit your completed DEPOSIT AGREEMENT within 7 days after being emailed, we will call you to ascertain if you need an extension to submit your DEPOSIT AGREEMENT. If we cannot contact you (by phone), we will contact the next person on our PRIORITY WATING LIST to send in a DEPOSIT AGREEMENT.
  7. Should we have puppies available and DO NOT have an interested individual from our PRIORITY WAITING LIST, we will open the puppy placement to the Public (usually coming from the AKC Market Place when we register the litter with AKC) on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  8. NOTE: YOUR $100 DEPOSIT IS FULLY REFUNDABLE SHOULD YOU NOT WANT THE PUPPY WHEN YOU VISIT THE PUPPY AT 6-WEEKS OF AGE –OR– YOU DO NOT WANT THE PUPPY WHEN YOU PICK UP THE PUPPY AT 8-WEEKS OF AGE. YOUR $100 DEPOSIT IS FULLY REFUNDABLE FOR ANY REASON UNTIL THE PUPPIES ARE 9-WEEKS OF AGE – AFTER WHICH YOUR $100 DEPOSIT WILL BE FORFEITED.
